Called Buckinghamshire Limited, the detailed analysis will be compiled using the latest company accounts available and provide a key barometer of the county’s overall business performance and changing market place.
The results of the study will be presented at a special breakfast event on October 18, attended by many of the county’s top business leaders.
David Newstead, partner at Grant Thornton, which operates across Buckinghamshire, pictured with Grant Thornton director Mike Hughes said: “Buckinghamshire is a diverse county which is home to many highly successful companies including a number of notable UK and international businesses.
"The first ever Buckinghamshire Limited review will offer a valuable picture of the Buckinghamshire business economy and should make very interesting reading.”
The Buckinghamshire Limited study will analyse details such as operating profit and employment figures, and will include a breakdown of the financial data by sector.
The top 100 companies will be selected based on the postcode of their trading address and turnover levels.
Buckinghamshire Limited has been launched following the success of a number of similar annual initiatives run by Grant Thornton across other UK counties including Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
