Workwear firm buys French business as European expansion continues

The deal means that BACS will distribute its exclusive Veltuff ranges of premium protective wear in France. Production volumes at BACA’s Northampton headquarters will increase and the firm will be creating new jobs.

European sales director Ben Calder said: “The drive and desire for BACA to continue its successful growth commercially continues to gain momentum. The acquisition of Actipro will increase our production by 10% and will lead to the creation of new jobs here in the UK in the near future.

“The French market can now not only benefit from our Veltuff ranges but also our work wear personalisation services and garment branding. This latest development is the next step in our long-term business plan to expand throughout Europe.”

Actipro, a long-established business with a €1.5 million euro turnover. New and existing customers in France will now have access to the Veltuff range of safety clothing and footwear, which BACA distributes direct from its UK headquarters in Northampton.

The BACA group continues to expand its ranges and services specialising in providing pioneering, protective products via Veltuff, its comprehensive collection of high performance, safety solutions including safety clothing, footwear, PPE equipment and gloves.  

BACA is the UK’s sole suppliers of the premium protective range.
