US exhibition leads to $1.3m worth of orders for manufacturer

Morgana Systems, based at Knowlhill, has won orders from clients in the USA, Canada and Latin America after its appearance at the Print 13 exhibition in Chicago.

The show was particularly significant for Morgana as it featured the debut of an extended range of bookletmakers – products that have been added since the acquisition of the UK manufacturing business by Swedish company Plockmatic International earlier this year.

Morgana Systems has targeted the American market for two years. Sales and marketing director Ray Hillhouse said: I think this show is evidence of how far we have come. Our US dealers were well represented and worked our booth every day of the show.

"They were delighted with the results and we also have a stack of leads to work on for the coming few months.”

The new range of bookletmakers also attracted vsitors to the Morgana Systems stand.

“The response to these products was fantastic and we have some excellent orders and great prospects to follow up on,” said Mr Hillhouse.

Morgana Systems produces more than 4,000 finishing products each year at its purpose-built factory in Milton Keynes.

More than 80% are destined for the company’s rapidly growing export markets in Europe, Africa, the USA and Australasia. The company is also targeting the high-growth economies of China, India and South America.
