University becomes patron of Next Generation Chamber

The University of Northampton has become a patron of the Next Generation Chamber,  launched by Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire Chambers of Commerce.
Earlier this month, top 40 accountancy firm Mercer & Hole became the first patron of Next Generation Chamber.
Paul Griffiths, chief executive of both Chambers, said: “The University of Northampton is one of the few universities in the country to be ranked Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework and we are proud that it has given its backing to Next Generation Chamber.”

Next Generation Chamber helps young professionals across all sectors to add value to their careers through a range of activities and services that they can get involved in and shape themselves.
“It gives them the opportunity to learn from business leaders and to work with their peers to develop new skills, knowledge and best practice,” Mr Griffiths said.
Wray Irwin, head of the University of Northampton Centre for Employability and Engagement, said: “We are delighted to be a patron of the Next Generation Chamber and support its work in raising the profile of the emerging entrepreneurs and new businesses in the county.
“Northamptonshire has much to be proud of and The University of Northampton is committed to promoting this excellent work and positioning the county as the best place in the UK to start and grow a business.

“We see our involvement in the Next Generation Chamber as a pivotal relationship in making this happen.”
