Technology park plan wins go-ahead from planners

Central Bedfordshire Council has approved plans by Millbrook, one of Europe’s leading test and engineering solution providers for the automotive, public transport, energy and defence markets, to develop the project.

It will bring new companies to the site, creating a significant number of highly skilled jobs within the automotive engineering and technology sectors.

Millbrook chief executive Alex Burns said: “We’re delighted that the planning application has been accepted. This is a milestone for Millbrook and will help to enhance the future of automotive engineering with new facilities for research and development.

“The Technology Park will build upon existing expertise in automotive test and development and encourage increased partnership opportunities with world class engineering, research and development companies who will be located at Millbrook.”

Andy Hall, associate at property consultant Knight Frank and adviser to Millbrook, added: “We are pleased to be able to move forward with the planning and implementation of a new Technology Park at Millbrook, which will create flexible office space and workshops for prospective tenants."
