For the second year running insidethegames.biz has finished top of the social media ranking of international sports organisations, carried out by Burson-Marsteller and TSE Consulting.
The rankings looked at the key people in the Olympic Movement and whom they follow on social media.
The results again put insidethegames.biz, published from offices in Bucks Biz Business Centre, well ahead of their international competitors and major international news organisations such as NBC Olympics, BBC Sport and ESPN.
Managing director Sarah Bowron said: “Knowledge of and the ability to use social media is absolutely key to us as a sports news organisation. As any champion will tell you, finishing top of the list for a second time is more difficult because you are there to be shot at.
“It is gratifying that all the hard work and dedication from our talented team has paid off again.”

Today the power of social media is of major importance to sports journalists all over the world and insidethegames.biz has used it brilliantly to drive readers to its website.
Sarah said: “Quality journalism is absolutely at the core of what the team does and this has been proven not by writing an entry and being judged, but by evidence and statistics.”
Four of the insidethegames.biz team led by editor Duncan Mackay have travelled to Pyeongchang in South Korea to cover the Winter Olympic Games, which begin tomorrow (Friday February 9).
“The Olympics is the biggest event in the international sporting calendar,” said Sarah. “We cover the business, politics and bid-process behind the global multi-billion dollar Olympic Movement. In order to do this, our team travels the world constantly, filing copy from major events and time-zones around the world.
“We publish every day of the year and all these elements are key to what sets us apart from our competitors. Our position as the best in the world is because our coverage is in-depth, reliable and trusted.”
