The awards recognised ten pubs across categories designed to highlight the hard work and expertise.
Charles Wells commercial director Peter Wells said: “All our winners have raised the bar in how 21st century pubs should be run, working to their strengths and recognising where they can have an impact in both the industry and their local communities.”
As well as an award statue and certificate to place in their pub, each winner received £1,000 in cash at the ceremony, held at the Bedford Swan Hotel. The nominations in the Rising Star category also received £150 each for training with Charles Wells or CPL, the leading provider or licensed retails and hospitality training in the UK.

Best in Glass The Olde Kings Arms, Hemel Hempstead
Best Food Offer The Moorings, Leamington Spa
Rising Star –Makeda Sandford at the Somers Town Coffee House, London
Best Newcomer The Anchor, Aspley Guise
Best Kept Pub The Oddfellows Arms, Harpenden
The overall Pub of the Year award went to the Tollemache Arms.
Mr Wells said: “Every Pub Partner who reached the finals of this year’s Charles Wells Awards should be thoroughly proud of what they do every single day. Just reaching the final is testament to their professionalism, attention to detail, and the high-quality service they and their teams provide.”
