Popular news presenter and television personality Bill Turnbull says he is delighted to be the host of Milton Keynes’ inaugural Business Achievement Awards.
“I am really looking forward to what should be a great evening and meeting the Milton Keynes business community,” said the award-winning presenter of BBC Breakfast.
The Business Achievement Awards is presented by the Milton Keynes Business Leaders Partnership, which has just announced a small extension to the deadline into this week for entries.
MKBLP chairman Philip Smith said: “The past few months have been hectic for businesses large and small, not least with the bad weather and so the entry deadline has been extended in order to process the late surge in entries.
“We want the awards to highlight all areas of business endeavour, including: international trade; environmental and corporate sustainability; and logistics and distribution and it would be a shame for organisations to miss out on having their achievements recognised.”
The deadline has been extended until Thursday (February 20). Entering online is easy by visiting www.mkbaa.co.uk
The glittering black tie event takes place on March 20 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, stadiummk, where the best of business in the MK postcode area will be recognised.
Bill Turnbull, a Wycombe Wanderers FC fan says the awards venue within the MK Dons’ stadium complex will be particularly interesting to him.
“There is a bit of a North Bucks-South Bucks friendly rivalry between the two clubs and it will be great to see the Dons’ home ground again,” he says. “I’ve visited the stadium and Milton Keynes before and am looking forward to going back.”
