Networkers prepare to celebrate landmark anniversary

Members past and present will reminisce on the group’s history with guests from the wider business community at the dinner, to be held at Jurys Inn in Central Milton Keynes on October 28.

The guest speaker is to be Charlotte Jamme, founder of the award winning local company Mia Tui Handbags.

The dinner will also raise money for Women in Enterprise’s chosen charity Leo’s Appeal – for enhancements to the children’s wards at Milton Keynes Hospital –  and include a cheque presentation to last year’s chosen charity the Air Ambulance Service.

Incoming president Sally Fennemore said: “We are delighted to be celebrating 30 years of Women in Enterprise. The association began at a time when there were limited opportunities available for women in business in our city, and also limited opportunities for companies looking to target females to reach out.

“In today’s Milton Keynes, the picture has evolved to see a thriving business community with successful women at the helm, with many of our leading organisations and institutions dependent on the direction and leadership of high profile women.

“The dinner is an opportunity to celebrate the huge contribution that women in business have brought to Milton Keynes, and a chance to look forward to a prosperous future.”

Tickets are £25 for members and £30 for non-members. To book, visit www.womeninenterprise.co.uk.
