MK Dons welcome new corporate partners

The club’s link-up with earthworks and civil engineering contractor Smith Construction Group has secured valuable sponsorship for club’s academy and investment in local football development.

Its partnership with Bletchley-based FSG Property Services will benefit the club’s Sport & Education Trust by helping them to decorate their classroom within stadiummk. The room hosts literacy classes for local children.

Smith Construction Group managing director Ian Smith said: “All business is about partnerships but this is more than business for us. What is good for the club is good for the city and what is good for the city is good for Smith Construction Group.

“As employers it actually gives us great pride to take young people into the business, teach them useful skills and watch them grow into confident, productive individuals and that is what the Dons’ academy is for too.”

FSG managing director Jon Lennox added: “As a company we are always seeking new ways to interact with the local community and feel that this opportunity gives us the perfect platform to do so.”

Both firms are regulars at MK Dons home matches.
The club’s head of partnerships James Parkinson said: “The partnership with Smith Construction will leave a legacy. Not only were they involved with the construction of stadiummk, but now they are supporting the next generation of footballers in this city.

“FSG, like the Dons, is a young dynamic company which suits our brand and we look forward to growing our businesses together over the next 12 months.”
