Forum debates risk management of foreign investments

Dr Anna John will discuss Managing non-market risk to foreign investments: do nothing or manage actively? on April 9.

Dr John said: “For a number of decades, market factors have been seen as major sources of risk to investments. Import taxes, instability of currency exchange rates and fluctuations of prices on overseas markets are all examples of market risks to foreign investments.

“During this Breakfast Briefing, we’ll be asking how should organisations manage investments in politically risky areas, are the rewards great enough, or would it be better to take no action?”

Dr John, who is recognised nationally and internationally via a number of publications, will be drawing on her recent 2018 work, ‘International Political Risk Management: Perspectives, Approaches and Emerging Agendas’

Breakfast is served at 8am. Dr John wil present at  8.30am, followed by a Q&A session and an opportunity for networking.
