Both firms have entered teams who will be taking part in support of the ChildLine Schools Service.
The 15th annual NSPCC MK Half Marathon takes place on July 7, with competitors running through the centre of Milton Keynes and along the city’s redways and the Grand Union Canal.
The teams will be running against those from other businesses in Milton Keynes to raise funds to support the ChildLine Schools Service which aims to visit every primary school in the UK by 2016, to help youngsters aged between 9 and 11 to understand abuse and where to go to for help should they ever need it.
Woodfines partner Neil Gibbs pictured, based at the firm’s Central Milton Keynes office, is taking part in the event for the third time.
He said: “Woodfines are delighted to be supporting the Team Challenge again. Our team has been training hard and we’re really hoping to raise a significant amount of money for this very worthy cause.”
MHA MacIntyre Hudson VAT partner Alison Horner said that sponsoring the NSPCC is a great way for local businesses to support children and the community.
NSPCC community fundraising manager Sally Phipps said: “It is great to be able to earmark all funds from this year’s race to the ChildLine Schools Service which has just recently launched in Milton Keynes.”
