College invests £5.5m in future of agriculture

The college, which took over the running of the college in 2009, has upgraded the student accommodation, created a new high-tech learning resource centre and is planning the expansion of the veterinary and animal welfare facilities at Kingshill Farm.

Bedford College principal and chief executive Ian Pryce has applauded the improvements made by staff and students to secure the future of young people in the world of farming and countryside industries.

He is pictured in front of The Mansion House, part of the college facilities at Old Warden Park, which Bedford College runs as a commercial centre hosting conferences, corporate and private functions and outdoor events.

It gives work experience opportunities to trainees in the college’s tourism and hospitality departments.
