Rod Calvert (pictured), who has chaired the Chamber’s Bedford Area Committee, has taken over as chairman from Brian Hibbert, who held the post since 2007.
Mr Calvert, formerly managing director of Millbrook Proving Ground, is also a leading figure in the Bedfordshire Business Ambassadors programme, which promotes inward investment to the county.
The new board members are: Andy Gilson, customer experience and corporate strategy director at Vauxhall Motors; Richard Cooper, director of ASA Business Development in Dunstable; Keren Wilkins, sub-contracts director at Ampthill-based defence giant Lockheed Martin; Mark West, chief executive of the Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation.
Paying tribute to Mr Hibbert, Chamber chief executive Cheryl Smart said: “Brian has been very popular with members, Board and staff. His commitment and loyalty to the Chamber has been outstanding.”
