Center Parcs holiday village nears completion at Woburn Forest

Woburn Forest Holiday Village is due to welcome its first visitors in March and the operator has given an insight into progress on the site.

Pictured is the Subtropical Swimming Paradise front, which is moving closer to completion with the shape of the Wild Water Rapids already visible snaking through the area in front of the building.

The rest of the Village Square is now water-tight with the exterior complete and windows and doors fitted. The lake and stream in this area is not yet full but the lake is already buzzing with wildlife.

All 625 lodge wall panels have been constructed with roofing almost complete. The first lodge was completed in September and all lodge panels – made in Potton – have been delivered.

Many of the lodges are now complete, furnishings are delivered and will be installed closer to opening.

The Housekeeping building, Cycle Centre and Arrivals Lodge have now been handed over to Center Parcs from the contractors.

Center Parcs has already recruited 139 people, 63 of whom are already working at the village. The firm still has to recruit more than 1,200 people to recruit but is confident of doing so by February.
