More than 100 exhibitors and 1,400 visitors converged on stadiummk for Business Expo 3.0, organised by telemarketing company Rapid Sales Solutions’ managing director Victoria Beale.
The event attracted high-profile speakers on a range of business subjects and local and national exhibitors including Samtander, Costco, Philips, Toyota and business organisations the Institute of Directors, the Federation of Small Businesses and UK Trade & Investment.
It was opened by business minister Lord Younger (pictured), who spoke of how the city was forging a strong reputation for innovation and was becoming an attractive location for multi-national businesses looking to establish a foothold in the UK.
“Milton Keynes has such an impressive history of growth,” he said.
Labour’s shadow business secretary Chukku Ummuna held a question and answer session hosted by Milton Keynes Business Leaders, heading a panel of Labour peer Lord Parry Mitchell and MP Iain Wright alongside Dr Ann Limb, chair of the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership.
Plans are under way for a Business Expo next year.
Victoria Beale said: “I wanted to make a difference to the business community, providing a business exhibition with a central objective to provide a platform to do business and to ensure that visual snapshots of the exhibition remain firmly in the memories of everyone that attended.”
