The new studio and offices in the Grove Park complex, at the heart of Dunstable’s leisure quarter which also houses The Grove Theatre.
The move will see the station vacate its offices in Luton after nearly 30 years there.
The new, open plan office in the central location will offer BBC Three Counties Radio’s audience greater access to the station. Many of the day-to-day activities, including broadcasting studios, production offices and the news operation will be on the ground level, offering audiences an insight into the world of live broadcasting.

“The new building for BBC Three Counties Radio is an exciting opportunity in the centre of our transmission area, making the day to day operation more visible and bringing us even closer to audiences.
“The plans for BBC Three Counties Radio are at the cutting edge of news-gathering and broadcasting technology and it will enable us to continue to bring our audiences the quality journalism that they expect, while delivering best value to licence fee payers.”
Central Bedfordshire Council has already granted planning permission for the development and fit-out of the new studio and offices.
Cllr Nigel Young, executive member for economic development and local ward member, said: “This is fantastic news for Dunstable.
“The Grove area is really flourishing as a cultural centre for the town – an area which is thriving and growing. Dunstable of course has a rich cultural history and this news is recognition that Dunstable is a town looking to the future.”
