Dealership goes animal crackers

MK SEAT, in Northfield, is acting as a main donation drop-off point for the local branch of the RSPCA during its annual national collection week.

The showroom doors are open to anyone wanting to hand over much-needed pet food, or make cash donations, to the RSPCA. The dealership will also lend volunteers from the Milton Keynes and North Bucks RSPCA a rugged SEAT Altea Freetrack 4 to help them reach other collection points around the region. On top of that, the dealership’s bosses have pledged to add their own generous donation to those received.

Staff at MK SEAT know that the more pet food and cash donations they collect, the more unwanted and abandoned pets the branch will be able to help.

Dealer principal Cliff Freeman said: ‘”We’re big animal lovers here at MK SEAT and we were only too happy to help the RSPCA when they approached us for support in the build-up to their collection week.”

Vivienne Dalton, cattery co-ordinator for the Milton Keynes and North Bucks branch of the RSPCA, said: “We are really grateful to MK SEAT and all the other businesses in and around Milton Keynes that have offered us their support and now we hope local people will respond with the same generosity.

“RSPCA Week is our biggest fund-raiser of the year so it’s vital we receive as much support as possible as we are a completely self-funding organisation and rely on donations to continue our work.”
