A healthy pipeline of deals, says top corporate finance expert

Mr Standish, corporate finance partner at business advisers Mazars in Milton Keynes, is pictured receiving the award from Steve Howard, senior private banker at Coutts & Co.

The award was among those presented at the Central and East of England Dealmakers awards gala, attended by a record-breaking audience of 210 peers and professionals.

Accepting the award, Mr Standish said: “It has actually been a good year in Milton Keynes. This is without doubt the best place for business in the country outside of London.

“We have completed a wide range of deals and a large amount of restructuring work. There is also a healthy pipeline of opportunities including a record number of management buyouts and corporate acquisitions.”

Mr Standish’s award is the fourth corporate finance Central and East of England Dealmakers award won by Mazars since the competition started in 2008.

Hundreds of nominations were collected by event sponsors Insider Media from business leaders and advisers throughout the region. The shortlist of the most favoured and the winner for each category were kept under lock and key until the presentations at a gala dinner at Jurys Inn, Central Milton Keynes.

Advisory Team of the Year MacIntyre Hudson
Bank of the Year Lloyds TSB Corporate
