Their arrival is part of the firm’s annual Graduate and Accelerate School Leaver programme.

Jerome Ona, Nimesh Kumar, Georgina Gray, Jonathan Quiroga, Claire Horn, Farzana Begum, Sam Hillyer, Marian Osei-Bonsu, Sally Riley, JJ Vicedo, James Halley, Shoyeb Osbourne, Hannah Patterson and Ryan Haynes have joined the training programme which provides the opportunity to work towards professional accounting qualifications whilst receiving first class training and on the job experience.

Milton Keynes office practice leader Kevin Gale said: “As the Milton Keynes office expands, we remain committed to investing in and developing young talent to build the next generation of skilled people to take the business forward.”

The programme is open to both graduates and school leavers, with all trainees undergoing expert internal and external training. The 14 are among a total of more than 260 trainees recruited at Grant Thornton’s 20 offices in the UK.

Mr Gale said: “We are delighted to welcome Jerome, Nimesh, Georgina, Jonathan, Claire, Farzana, Sam, Marian, Sally, JJ, James, Shoyeb, Hannah and Ryan to the Milton Keynes office who have all displayed the required energy, drive and passion to succeed.

“We look forward to working alongside and supporting them as they progress.”

Grant Thornton also runs a 12-month placement scheme and an internship programme for students in the penultimate year of university. The internship scheme offers four to six weeks paid work experience over the summer and a possible fast track to the graduate programme.
