Competition applauds the best in manufacturing

To celebrate the well-earned reputation of Bedfordshire for innovation and manufacturing, Streets Chartered Accountants is organizing the Made in Bedfordshire event, with Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce and supported by Business2Business magazine.

Made in Bedfordshire seeks to celebrate the area’s manufacturing efforts by businesses large and small.

Streets marketing partner James Pinchbeck said: “We recognise the importance of the sector not only to our local economy but the national one too. Whether it is modesty or simply lack of awareness, the profile of what is produced and by whom in Bedfordshire does not seem to receive the recognition it deserves.

“We are delighted to be working with the Chamber and Business2Business to have developed the idea of Made in Bedfordshire. We are really looking forward to showcasing and celebrating the county’s manufacturing capabilities.”

Chamber chief executive Cheryl Smart MBE added: “Made in Bed-fordshire promises to showcase all the fantastic goods that are created and made here on home soil.

"Little is known about the true number of local innovative goods manufactured in Bedford-shire and this will be a great opportunity to spread the word and recognise our great business achievements.”
